“W.B. Yeats Today” – Call for Papers



The Hungarian Yeats Society
invites you to attend a one day conference


Papers, either in English or in Hungarian, are invited on any aspect of Yeats’s oeuvre and its contemporary relevance. Also welcome are papers on Yeats’s influence on, or affinities with, Hungarian literature and/or individual writers. The conference, to be held on 29th April 2015, at Petőfi Museum of Literature, Budapest, will be part of a longer celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Nobel-laureate poet, playwright, prose writer Yeats’s birth.

The conference will include a plenary lecture
by the internationally acclaimed Yeats scholar,

Glucksman Professor
University of Limerick, Ireland
Director of the International Yeats Summer School
and Chair of the International Yeats Society

Please, indicate your intention to attend by sending your name, academic affiliation (if any) and email address to the Organizing Committee by 31 January 2015 at yeatshungary@gmail.com. Abstracts of 200-250 words should be sent by 1 March 2015 to the same address.
